These creepy yet fun jello shots are perfect for setting the mood at your Halloween party, combining fruity flavors with a spooky eyeball effect.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups water
  • 1 flavored gelatin mix (e.g., strawberry or cherry)
  • 1 unflavored gelatin packet
  • 1 can lychee fruit, drained and patted dry
  • Blueberries (fresh or frozen)
  • 1 cup vodka or rum (optional, replace with juice or soda for non-alcoholic)
  • Food coloring (optional, red or green)

Instructions

  1. Bring 2 cups of water to a boil in a medium saucepan. Add flavored gelatin powder and stir until dissolved.
  2. Let the mixture cool slightly, then add 1 cup of vodka or rum for boozy shots, or replace with juice or soda for non-alcoholic.
  3. Add a few drops of food coloring (optional) and stir well.
  4. Drain canned lychees and pat them dry. Insert a blueberry into the hollow center of each lychee to create the pupil.
  5. Pour a small amount of gelatin mixture into molds or cups to cover the bottom. Refrigerate for 10 minutes to set slightly.
  6. Place a lychee with a blueberry center into each mold or cup. Carefully pour more gelatin mixture over the lychee, filling the mold or cup completely.
  7. Refrigerate for at least 4 hours or until completely set.
  8. Remove jello shots from molds and arrange on a spooky-themed tray. Serve chilled.

Notes

Lightly grease molds for easy removal. Experiment with gelatin flavors and food coloring for unique looks. Make ahead 1-2 days for convenience.
