Spicy Whipped Feta Dip Recipe with Hot Honey & Pistachios

  • 8 ounces block-style feta cheese
  • 1/2 cup Greek yogurt
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 clove garlic, minced or grated
  • 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes (adjust to taste)
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 1/4 teaspoon chili flakes or a few drops of hot sauce
  • 1/4 cup pistachios, toasted and roughly chopped
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice

Instructions

  1. Peel and mince the garlic, chop the pistachios, and squeeze the lemon juice.
  2. Add the feta, Greek yogurt, olive oil, garlic, lemon juice, and a pinch of red pepper flakes to a food processor. Blend for 2–3 minutes, scraping down the sides as needed, until the mixture is smooth and creamy.
  3. Taste the dip and adjust seasoning by adding more red pepper flakes, lemon juice, or olive oil if desired. Blend again briefly to incorporate.
  4. In a small saucepan, gently warm the honey with a pinch of chili flakes or a few drops of hot sauce. Do not boil.
  5. Transfer the whipped feta into a serving bowl. Drizzle the hot honey generously over the top, then sprinkle with chopped pistachios and a few extra chili flakes for garnish.
  6. Serve immediately with warm pita bread, fresh vegetables, or crunchy crackers.
