  • 2025 pepperoni slices (natural, nitrate-free preferred)
  • 1 ½ cups (170g) shredded mozzarella cheese (whole milk or part-skim)
  • ¼ cup (25g) grated parmesan cheese
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning (oregano, basil, thyme, rosemary blend)
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil (for brushing)
  • ½ cup (120ml) marinara sauce (for dipping)
  • Pinch of salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or a silicone mat and set aside.
  2. Lightly flour your work surface and roll out the pizza dough into a roughly 12×10 inch (30×25 cm) rectangle about ¼ inch (6mm) thick.
  3. In a bowl, combine shredded mozzarella, grated parmesan, Italian seasoning, garlic powder, and a pinch of salt. Stir until evenly mixed.
  4. Spread the cheese mixture evenly over the rolled dough, leaving about a ½ inch (1.3 cm) border on the edges.
  5. Place the pepperoni slices evenly over the cheese layer in a single layer.
  6. Starting from the longer side, carefully roll the dough into a tight log. Use a little water or olive oil on the edge to seal the seam.
  7. Using a sharp knife or pizza cutter, cut the log into 1-inch (2.5 cm) thick rolls, yielding about 10-12 pieces.
  8. Place the rolls cut-side up on the prepared baking sheet, spaced about 1 inch (2.5 cm) apart.
  9. Lightly brush the tops of the rolls with olive oil for a golden finish.
  10. Bake for 15-18 minutes, or until rolls are golden brown and cheese is bubbly.
  11. Let the rolls rest for 5 minutes before serving.
  12. Serve warm with marinara sauce for dipping.
