Instructions

  1. Wash, peel, and dice the apple into small chunks. Set aside.
  2. In your mug, combine 3 tablespoons (25g) of all-purpose flour, 2 tablespoons (25g) of brown sugar, 1/4 teaspoon of baking powder, and 1/4 teaspoon of ground cinnamon. Stir well to combine.
  3. Pour in 3 tablespoons (45ml) of milk, 1 tablespoon (15g) of melted butter, and 1/4 teaspoon of vanilla extract. Mix until a smooth batter forms.
  4. Gently stir in 2 tablespoons of diced apple, ensuring they are evenly distributed.
  5. Microwave on high for 1 minute and 30 seconds to 2 minutes, depending on your microwave’s wattage. The cake is done when it has risen and is firm to the touch.
  6. Insert a toothpick into the center of the cake—if it comes out clean, it’s ready. If not, microwave for an additional 10-15 seconds.
