These Juicy Big Mac Sliders bring the classic fast-food favorite home with juicy beef patties, tangy special sauce, and melty cheese, perfect for quick family dinners or casual get-togethers.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb (450 g) ground beef (80/20 blend)
  • Salt and black pepper (about 1 tsp salt and ½ tsp pepper)
  • 12 slider buns
  • 6 slices American cheese
  • 1 cup shredded iceberg lettuce
  • 12 dill pickle slices
  • ¼ cup finely chopped white onion
  • Special sauce:
  • ½ cup mayonnaise
  • 2 tbsp French dressing
  • 2 tbsp dill pickle relish
  • 1 tsp white vinegar
  • 1 tsp granulated sugar
  • ½ tsp onion powder
  • ¼ tsp garlic powder

Instructions

  1. Make the special sauce: In a small bowl, whisk together mayonnaise, French dressing, dill pickle relish, white vinegar, sugar, onion powder, and garlic powder until smooth. Set aside in the fridge while you prepare the rest (about 5 minutes).
  2. Prepare the beef patties: Place ground beef in a mixing bowl. Season generously with salt and black pepper. Gently mix with your hands just until combined—don’t overwork the meat.
  3. Form the patties: Divide the beef into 12 equal portions (about 1.3 oz or 37 g each). Roll into balls, then flatten into thin, round patties about 3 inches in diameter to fit slider buns. Wet your hands slightly to prevent sticking.
  4. Toast the buns: Heat a large skillet over medium heat. Spread a thin layer of butter on cut sides of slider buns. Toast cut-side down until golden brown, about 1-2 minutes. Remove and set aside.
  5. Cook the patties: Increase heat to medium-high. Place patties in skillet without overcrowding. Cook 2-3 minutes per side, flipping once. Add half a slice of American cheese on each patty during the last minute to melt.
  6. Assemble the sliders: Spread about 1 tbsp of special sauce on the bottom bun, add a cheese-topped patty, then sprinkle chopped onions, shredded lettuce, and a pickle slice. Top with the bun crown.
  7. Serve immediately: Enjoy fresh off the skillet while cheese is melty and beef is juicy.

Notes

Use ground beef with 80/20 fat content for juiciness. Avoid pressing patties while cooking to keep them moist. Toast buns for added buttery crunch. Make special sauce ahead for better flavor. For gluten-free, use gluten-free buns or lettuce wraps.
