A creamy, cheesy dip that captures the iconic Philly cheesesteak flavors, perfect for game days and casual gatherings. Quick and easy to prepare with simple ingredients.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 8 oz thinly sliced ribeye or sirloin beef
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup provolone cheese, shredded
  • 1 medium onion, finely chopped
  • 1 small green bell pepper, diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil or butter
  • Optional: red pepper flakes

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Heat 1 tablespoon olive oil or butter in your skillet over medium heat. Add the finely chopped onion and diced green bell pepper. Sauté for about 5 minutes, stirring often, until softened and slightly caramelized.
  3. Add minced garlic to the skillet. Cook for 30 seconds to a minute, just until fragrant.
  4. Increase the heat to medium-high, then add the thinly sliced beef to the skillet. Season with salt, pepper, and Worcestershire sauce. Cook for 3-4 minutes, stirring frequently, until the beef is browned but still tender.
  5. Remove the skillet from heat and let the mixture cool slightly.
  6. In a mixing bowl, combine the softened cream cheese and shredded provolone cheese. Stir until smooth and creamy.
  7. Fold the cooked beef and veggie mixture into the cheese blend. Mix gently but thoroughly.
  8. Transfer the mixture to an 8×8 inch oven-safe baking dish. Spread evenly with a spatula.
  9. Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes until bubbly and golden on top.
  10. Remove from oven and let cool for 5 minutes before serving.

Notes

For a crispy cheese crust, broil the dip for 1-2 minutes at the end of baking. Use thinly sliced beef for tenderness. Softened cream cheese blends better. The dip can be made ahead and refrigerated up to 24 hours before baking. Leftovers store well in the fridge for 3 days or freeze up to 2 months.
