  • 10 cups popped popcorn (air-popped preferred, lightly salted)
  • 1 cup (170g) white chocolate chips or chopped white chocolate
  • 1/2 cup (75g) red and blue candy-coated chocolates or M&Ms
  • 2 tablespoons red and blue sprinkles
  • 1 cup (50g) mini pretzels
  • 2 tablespoons (28g) melted butter
  • Pinch of sea salt

Instructions

  1. Pop about 1/2 cup (100g) of popcorn kernels using your preferred method to yield roughly 10 cups (250g) of popped popcorn. Let it cool completely.
  2. Measure out mini pretzels, candy-coated chocolates, and sprinkles while popcorn cools.
  3. Melt the white chocolate chips or chopped chocolate in a microwave-safe bowl in 30-second intervals, stirring between each, until smooth (about 1-2 minutes). Alternatively, melt over a double boiler on low heat, stirring constantly.
  4. In a large bowl, combine the cooled popcorn, mini pretzels, and candy-coated chocolates. Drizzle melted butter over and toss gently to coat evenly.
  5. Slowly pour the melted white chocolate over the popcorn mixture. Gently fold with a spatula or wooden spoon to coat evenly without over-mixing.
  6. Spread the mixture onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper in an even layer. Sprinkle red and blue sprinkles and a pinch of sea salt over the top while the chocolate is still warm.
  7. Allow the popcorn mix to cool completely at room temperature (about 30 minutes) until the white chocolate hardens and the mix holds together.
  8. Break into bite-sized clusters and serve. Store leftovers in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days.

Notes

Melt white chocolate slowly to avoid burning. Cool popcorn completely before adding melted ingredients to keep crunch. Be gentle when mixing to avoid melting candy shells.
