A fun and festive pink donut fondue featuring a silky cream cheese glaze with a hint of citrus, perfect for celebrations and sharing with friends.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 68 plain cake or yeast donuts (store-bought or homemade)
  • 4 oz (115g) cream cheese, softened
  • 1 ½ cups (180g) powdered sugar, sifted
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice (about half a lemon)
  • 23 tablespoons (3045 ml) milk, any kind
  • A few drops pink food coloring (optional, natural beet juice powder works too)
  • ¼ cup (40g) assorted sprinkles
  • Optional toppings: crushed freeze-dried strawberries, edible glitter, shredded coconut

Instructions

  1. Slice the donuts into bite-sized chunks, about 1 to 1.5 inches (2.5-4 cm). Arrange on a serving platter.
  2. In a medium bowl, beat together softened cream cheese and vanilla extract until smooth and creamy, about 2 minutes.
  3. Gradually sift in powdered sugar, mixing on low speed to avoid sugar clouds. Add fresh lemon juice and 2 tablespoons milk. Add extra tablespoon milk if glaze is too thick. Mix for 3-4 minutes total.
  4. Add a few drops of pink food coloring or beet powder and stir gently until vibrant pink.
  5. Transfer glaze to a fondue pot or slow cooker set on low to keep warm. Alternatively, place bowl over simmering water and stir occasionally.
  6. Arrange sliced donuts around the fondue pot. Place sprinkles and optional toppings in small bowls for customization.
  7. Dip donut pieces into warm pink glaze using fondue forks or skewers, then sprinkle with toppings. Repeat and enjoy.

Notes

Do not overheat the glaze to avoid graininess or separation. If glaze thickens, stir in a splash of milk to loosen. Keep donuts fresh by covering loosely with foil until serving. For dairy-free or gluten-free options, use vegan cream cheese and gluten-free donuts. Optional: add a pinch of sea salt to glaze for complexity.
