This Crockpot Caramel Apple Dump Cake is pure autumn magic, combining gooey caramel, tender spiced apples, and a golden buttery cake topping effortlessly in your slow cooker.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 (21-ounce) can apple pie filling
  • ¾ cup caramel sauce
  • 1 (15.25-ounce) box yellow cake mix
  • ½ cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon (optional)
  • ½ teaspoon nutmeg (optional)
  • ½ cup chopped pecans (optional)

Instructions

  1. Lightly grease the inside of your slow cooker with butter or non-stick spray.
  2. Spread the apple pie filling evenly across the bottom of the crockpot.
  3. Drizzle the caramel sauce over the apples, ensuring even distribution.
  4. In a mixing bowl, combine the cake mix with the melted butter until it forms a crumbly texture.
  5. Sprinkle the cake mix mixture over the apple filling and caramel layer, spreading it evenly.
  6. Optional: Sprinkle ground cinnamon, nutmeg, and pecans over the top for extra flavor and crunch.
  7. Cover the crockpot with its lid and set it to HIGH for 2 hours or LOW for 4 hours. Avoid lifting the lid during cooking.
  8. After cooking, check for doneness—the edges should be golden and slightly crisp, while the center remains gooey.
  9. Serve warm by scooping into bowls, optionally with vanilla ice cream or whipped cream.
