These cranberry feta pinwheels combine tart cranberries, creamy feta, and flaky puff pastry for an irresistible fall appetizer that’s quick to make and perfect for gatherings.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 sheet of puff pastry, thawed
  • 1/3 cup (50 g) dried cranberries
  • 1/2 cup (75 g) crumbled feta cheese
  • 4 oz (115 g) softened cream cheese
  • 2 tbsp finely chopped green onions
  • 1 tbsp honey (optional)
  • 1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine softened cream cheese, crumbled feta cheese, dried cranberries, and finely chopped green onions. Mix until well combined.
  3. On a lightly floured surface, gently roll out one sheet of thawed puff pastry into a rectangle, roughly 10×12 inches (25×30 cm).
  4. Evenly spread the cream cheese mixture over the puff pastry, leaving a small border around the edges.
  5. Starting from one long side, roll the pastry tightly into a log. Seal the edge with a bit of water if needed.
  6. Using a sharp knife, cut the log into 1/2-inch (1.25 cm) thick slices. Place the slices on the prepared baking sheet.
  7. Beat one egg and lightly brush the tops of each pinwheel for a golden finish.
  8. Bake for 15-18 minutes, or until the pinwheels are puffed and golden brown.
  9. Let them cool for 5 minutes before serving warm or at room temperature.

Notes

Work quickly with puff pastry to keep it cold. Don’t overfill the rolls to prevent them from unraveling. Use a serrated knife for clean slices.
