  • Sea salt (optional, pinch for topping)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or a silicone baking mat.
  2. Lay out wonton wrappers on a clean surface. Brush each side lightly with melted butter or coconut oil.
  3. Wash and hull strawberries. Slice each into halves or quarters depending on size.
  4. Place one wonton wrapper on the baking sheet, add a strawberry piece in the center. Fold the wrapper over to form a triangle or pouch, pressing edges to seal. Use a bit of water on edges if needed.
  5. Bake for 8-10 minutes until edges are golden brown and crispy. Adjust time or temperature if browning too quickly.
  6. Melt chocolate chips in a microwave-safe bowl in 20-second intervals, stirring until smooth. Stir in vanilla extract if using.
  7. Dip each baked wonton bite halfway into melted chocolate. Let excess drip off and place on a cooling rack or parchment paper to set.
  8. Before chocolate sets, optionally sprinkle a pinch of sea salt or dust with powdered sugar.
  9. Allow chocolate to harden fully at room temperature or refrigerate for about 10 minutes.

Notes

Brush both sides of wonton wrappers for even crispness. Avoid overfilling with strawberries to prevent sogginess. Use fresh, firm strawberries. Seal edges well with water. Watch oven closely to prevent burning. Melt chocolate slowly to avoid seizing. Cool chocolate on a wire rack to prevent sticking. For leftovers, store in airtight container in fridge up to 2 days and re-crisp in toaster oven at 300°F for 3-4 minutes. Avoid microwaving leftovers to maintain crispness.
