Irresistible Bat Oreos Recipe – Easy Spooky Halloween Treats

Bat Oreos - featured image

These adorable bat-shaped Oreos are a fun, no-bake Halloween treat that’s perfect for parties or creative activities with kids.

Ingredients

  • Oreos (Classic or Double Stuf)
  • Mini pretzels
  • Candy eyes
  • Chocolate chips (semi-sweet or dark)
  • Optional decorations: sprinkles, edible glitter, or colored icing

Instructions

  1. Lay out a sheet of parchment paper on a flat surface and set up your ingredients and tools for easy access.
  2. Place chocolate chips in a microwave-safe bowl and heat in 20-second intervals, stirring each time, until completely melted and smooth.
  3. Carefully break mini pretzels in half to create wing shapes. Use a knife for cleaner breaks and set them aside.
  4. Dip the broken end of each pretzel wing into the melted chocolate and press gently onto the sides of an Oreo cookie to attach them. Hold in place for a few seconds to let the chocolate set.
  5. Dab a small amount of melted chocolate onto the back of each candy eye and stick them onto the top of the Oreo. Place them close together for an adorable bat face effect.
  6. If desired, sprinkle edible glitter or use colored icing to add spooky details to your bats.
  7. Place finished Bat Oreos on the parchment paper and let them sit at room temperature for 15-20 minutes to allow the chocolate to harden. Alternatively, refrigerate for 5-10 minutes.

Notes

[‘Break pretzels gently to avoid crumbling.’, ‘Use a piping bag or resealable plastic bag for neater chocolate application.’, ‘Reheat melted chocolate in 10-second intervals if it starts to harden.’, ‘Experiment with wing placement to create different bat personalities.’]
