A quick and easy air fryer garlic bread recipe that delivers crispy, buttery, and flavorful garlic bread in just 5 minutes. Perfect as a snack, appetizer, or side dish.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 small baguette or half a French loaf, sliced into ½-inch (1.25 cm) pieces
  • 4 tablespoons (60 g) unsalted butter, softened
  • 3 cloves fresh garlic, finely minced or grated
  • 2 tablespoons parsley, finely chopped (optional)
  • 2 tablespoons grated Parmesan cheese (optional)
  • Pinch of salt, to taste
  • Pinch of freshly ground black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon olive oil (optional)

Instructions

  1. Slice your baguette into ½-inch (1.25 cm) thick pieces. If bread is fresh, lightly toast it in a pan for a minute to reduce moisture.
  2. In a medium mixing bowl, combine softened unsalted butter, minced garlic, chopped parsley, grated Parmesan (if using), olive oil, salt, and black pepper. Mix until creamy and spreadable.
  3. Using a butter knife or spoon, generously spread the garlic butter mixture onto one side of each bread slice.
  4. Optional: Preheat the air fryer to 350°F (175°C) for 2 minutes.
  5. Place the bread slices in a single layer in the air fryer basket, buttered side up, avoiding overlap.
  6. Cook at 350°F (175°C) for 4-5 minutes, checking at 3 minutes to prevent burning. The edges should be golden brown and crispy, and the butter melted and bubbling.
  7. Carefully remove the garlic bread, let cool for a minute or two, and serve immediately.

Notes

Use day-old bread for better crunch. Avoid overcrowding the air fryer basket for even cooking. Softened butter spreads better. For extra cheesiness, add mozzarella or Parmesan halfway through cooking. To reheat leftovers, air fry at 320°F (160°C) for 2-3 minutes. Avoid microwaving to prevent sogginess.
