A festive and easy honey glazed ham with pineapple recipe that combines sweet and savory flavors, perfect for holiday feasts and special occasions.

Ingredients

  • Fully cooked bone-in ham (about 6–8 pounds / 2.7–3.6 kg)
  • Pineapple rings (fresh or canned, about 8 rings)
  • Honey (⅓ cup / 113 g)
  • Brown sugar (½ cup packed / 110 g)
  • Dijon mustard (2 tablespoons / 30 ml)
  • Apple cider vinegar (1 tablespoon / 15 ml)
  • Ground cinnamon (½ teaspoon)
  • Whole cloves (about 12)
  • Freshly ground black pepper (to taste)
  • Pineapple juice (½ cup / 120 ml)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 325°F (163°C).
  2. Remove the ham from packaging and pat dry with paper towels. If your ham isn’t spiral sliced, score the surface in a diamond pattern about ½ inch (1.3 cm) deep.
  3. Place pineapple rings evenly over the ham’s surface. Use toothpicks to secure them if needed.
  4. In a small bowl, whisk together honey, brown sugar, Dijon mustard, apple cider vinegar, ground cinnamon, and pineapple juice until smooth.
  5. Place ham on the rack in the roasting pan, cut side down if spiral sliced. Brush a generous layer of the glaze all over the ham and pineapple.
  6. If using, poke whole cloves into the intersections of the scored diamond pattern.
  7. Place the pan in the oven and bake for about 1.5 to 2 hours, or until heated through (internal temperature should reach 140°F/60°C). Baste with the glaze every 20–30 minutes. Tent with foil if glaze darkens too much.
  8. Remove ham from oven and let it rest for 15 minutes covered loosely with foil.
  9. Slice the ham and serve warm, spooning any pan juices or extra glaze over the top.

Notes

Score the ham if not spiral sliced to help glaze penetration. Baste every 20–30 minutes for a sticky glaze. Tent with foil if glaze darkens too quickly. Let ham rest before slicing to retain juices. Glaze can be made ahead and refrigerated.
