  • Pinch of salt
  • Pinch of pepper

  • Optional extras: grated Parmesan cheese or chopped fresh herbs like parsley

Instructions

  1. Preheat your air fryer to 400°F (200°C) and let it warm up for 3-5 minutes.
  2. In a mixing bowl, toss 1 pound (450 g) of frozen tater tots with a light spray of cooking oil and a pinch of salt, pepper, and your favorite seasoning (about ½ teaspoon of each).
  3. Spread the tots out in a single layer in the air fryer basket. If needed, cook in batches to avoid overcrowding.
  4. Air fry the tots at 400°F (200°C) for 10 minutes. Halfway through (at 5 minutes), shake the basket or use tongs to turn the tots for even crisping.
  5. After 10 minutes, check the tots. If you want them crispier, cook for an additional 2-3 minutes. Serve immediately for best texture.

Do not overcrowd the air fryer basket to ensure crispiness. Shake or turn tots halfway through cooking for even browning. Adjust cooking time based on your air fryer model.
