A quick and fun frozen dessert combining bananas, chocolate, and toppings on a stick, perfect for summer treats and easy snacking.

Ingredients

  • Bananas (ripe but firm)
  • Semi-sweet or dark chocolate chips
  • Chopped nuts (peanuts, almonds, or walnuts), toasted
  • Fresh strawberries, chopped
  • Mini marshmallows (optional)
  • Shredded unsweetened coconut flakes
  • Sprinkles or crushed waffle cone bits
  • Popsicle sticks or wooden skewers

Instructions

  1. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or a silicone mat.
  2. Slice bananas into 1-inch thick rounds.
  3. Insert a popsicle stick or skewer halfway through each banana slice.
  4. Melt the chocolate using a double boiler or microwave in 20-second intervals, stirring until smooth.
  5. Dip each banana slice into the melted chocolate, covering about two-thirds of the piece, letting excess drip off.
  6. Immediately sprinkle chopped nuts, strawberries, shredded coconut, or mini marshmallows onto the wet chocolate.
  7. Place the dipped banana bites on the prepared tray, spacing them out.
  8. Freeze for at least 2 hours or overnight until solid.
  9. Serve frozen. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the freezer.

Notes

Freeze banana slices for 30 minutes before dipping to prevent mushiness and help chocolate stick better. Thin melted chocolate with a teaspoon of coconut or vegetable oil if too thick. Work quickly when dipping and adding toppings as chocolate sets fast. Store leftovers in an airtight container with parchment paper between layers to prevent sticking. Serve straight from freezer for best texture.
