These Easy Bento Box Turkey Roll-Ups with Fruit Skewers are a quick, no-cook lunch that comes together in under ten minutes. Cream cheese holds savory turkey and crunchy veggies together, while fruit skewers add a touch of sweetness, making it a crowd-pleaser for kids and adults alike.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 8 slices turkey (about 8 ounces), oven-roasted, smoked, or honey
  • 4 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • 1 small cucumber, cut into thin strips
  • 1/2 cup bell pepper, thinly sliced (red or orange recommended)
  • 4 small lettuce leaves (romaine or butter lettuce)
  • 1 cup seedless grapes (red or green)
  • 1 cup strawberries, hulled and halved
  • Mini pretzel sticks or cheese cubes (optional, for extra crunch)

Instructions

  1. Soften the cream cheese by letting it sit out for 10 minutes or microwaving for 5-10 seconds on low power.
  2. Wash and cut cucumber into thin strips (about 3 inches long and 1/4 inch thick). Slice bell pepper into similar-sized strips. Pat dry with a paper towel.
  3. Lay 8 turkey slices flat on a cutting board, overlapping slightly if small.
  4. Spread a thin, even layer of cream cheese over each turkey slice, leaving a 1/2-inch border around the edges.
  5. Place a lettuce leaf on each turkey slice, then add a few strips of cucumber and bell pepper (2-3 strips per roll-up).
  6. Starting at one end, roll the turkey slice up firmly but gently, tucking in loose edges as you go.
  7. Insert a toothpick through the center of each roll-up to secure it. For children, snap off the sharp end or use short cocktail picks.
  8. Thread grapes and strawberry halves onto small skewers, alternating colors. Aim for 4-5 pieces per skewer.
  9. Pack the roll-ups in one compartment of a bento box and fruit skewers in another. Add pretzel sticks or cheese cubes in empty spaces. Use silicone cups to separate items if using a single container.
  10. Refrigerate until ready to eat. These keep well for up to 3 days.

Notes

Pat veggies dry to prevent sogginess. Use room temperature cream cheese to avoid tearing turkey slices. Roll tightly for best results. These taste even better the next day as flavors meld. For younger children, remove skewers and pack fruit separately.
