A quick and easy recipe for juicy, crispy pork chops cooked in an air fryer and topped with a rich garlic butter sauce. Perfect for a fuss-free, flavorful dinner.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 bone-in or boneless pork chops, about 1-inch thick
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • ¾ cup panko breadcrumbs
  • ¼ cup grated parmesan cheese (optional)
  • 3 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
  • 3 cloves fresh garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped

Instructions

  1. Pat 4 pork chops dry with paper towels to remove excess moisture. Season both sides evenly with garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, salt, and black pepper. Set aside.
  2. In a shallow bowl, combine panko breadcrumbs and grated parmesan cheese. Mix well.
  3. Lightly brush each pork chop with olive oil. Press each chop firmly into the panko-parmesan mixture, coating both sides thoroughly.
  4. Preheat the air fryer to 400°F (200°C).
  5. Place the pork chops in the air fryer basket in a single layer. Cook for 6-7 minutes, then flip and cook another 6-8 minutes until the internal temperature reaches 145°F (63°C) and the crust is golden and crispy.
  6. While the chops cook, melt butter in a small saucepan over low heat. Add minced garlic and cook gently for 1-2 minutes until fragrant. Remove from heat and stir in fresh parsley.
  7. Transfer pork chops to a plate, spoon garlic butter sauce over the top, garnish with extra parsley if desired, and serve immediately.

Notes

Pat pork chops dry before seasoning for a crispy crust. Flip halfway through cooking for even crispiness. Use a meat thermometer to ensure pork reaches 145°F for safety and juiciness. Let chops rest 5 minutes before serving. For gluten-free, substitute panko with crushed gluten-free crackers or almond flour. Garlic butter sauce is best fresh but can be stored and reheated gently.
