These crispy air fryer bacon-wrapped jalapeño poppers are a quick, crowd-pleasing snack that combines smoky bacon, spicy jalapeños, and creamy cheese filling for the perfect bite.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 12 medium-sized fresh jalapeños, halved and seeded
  • 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • ½ cup sharp cheddar cheese, shredded
  • 12 slices bacon, thin or regular cut
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • ½ teaspoon smoked paprika
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • Optional: finely chopped green onions or fresh cilantro

Instructions

  1. Slice each jalapeño in half lengthwise and scoop out seeds and membranes. Set aside.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine softened cream cheese, shredded sharp cheddar, garlic powder, smoked paprika, salt, and black pepper. Stir until smooth. Fold in green onions or cilantro if using.
  3. Fill each jalapeño half generously with the cheese mixture.
  4. Wrap one slice of bacon around each stuffed jalapeño half, securing with a toothpick if needed.
  5. Preheat the air fryer to 375°F (190°C).
  6. Place poppers in a single layer in the air fryer basket, leaving space between each.
  7. Cook for 12 minutes, then flip and cook for another 3 minutes or until bacon is crispy and cheese is bubbly.
  8. Remove poppers and let rest for 2 minutes before serving.

Notes

Wrap bacon gently to avoid cheese leakage. Preheat air fryer for even cooking. Flip poppers halfway through cooking for crispiness. Use thinner bacon slices for quicker crisping. Rest poppers before serving to let filling set. Avoid overcrowding the air fryer basket.
