Instructions

  1. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add 8 ounces (225 grams) of spaghetti and cook according to package instructions until al dente, about 8-10 minutes. Drain well and set aside.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine 1 can (10.5 ounces) cream of mushroom soup, 1 cup (240 ml) sour cream, and season with salt, pepper, and garlic powder to taste. Stir until smooth and creamy.
  3. Toss in 3 cups cooked shredded chicken. Fold gently to coat the chicken in the creamy mixture evenly.
  4. Add the drained spaghetti to the bowl and mix carefully until all strands are coated with the creamy chicken mixture.
  5. Pour the mixture into a greased 9×13 inch casserole dish. Spread it out evenly with a spatula.
  6. Sprinkle 2 cups (about 200 grams) shredded sharp cheddar cheese evenly over the top.
  7. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Bake the casserole uncovered for 25-30 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbly and golden brown on top. Optionally broil for 1-2 minutes at the end for a crispier topping, watching closely to prevent burning.
