  • 1/3 cup dulce de leche
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 6 cups Rice Krispies cereal
  • Flaky sea salt (optional)

Instructions

  1. Line a 9×13-inch baking dish with parchment paper and lightly grease it with butter or cooking spray.
  2. In a large saucepan, melt the unsalted butter over medium heat. Stir frequently until it foams and turns golden brown, releasing a nutty aroma. This takes about 5–7 minutes.
  3. Lower the heat to medium-low and stir in the mini marshmallows. Mix until completely melted and smooth.
  4. Stir in 1/3 cup of dulce de leche and the vanilla extract. Mix until fully combined.
  5. Remove the saucepan from heat and gently fold in the Rice Krispies cereal, one cup at a time. Stir until every piece is evenly coated.
  6. Pour the mixture into your prepared baking dish. Use a greased spatula or clean hands to press it evenly into the pan.
  7. Optional: Drizzle additional dulce de leche over the top and sprinkle with flaky sea salt.
