This air fryer garlic butter salmon is a quick, flavorful dinner featuring flaky salmon fillets coated in a garlicky, buttery glaze. Ready in just 15 minutes, it’s perfect for busy weeknights or impressing guests with minimal effort.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 salmon fillets (about 6 oz each, skin-on or skinless)
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
  • 34 cloves fresh garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons freshly squeezed lemon juice
  • Salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped (optional)
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika (optional, smoked or regular)

Instructions

  1. Pat the salmon fillets dry with paper towels and remove any pin bones.
  2. In a small bowl, melt the butter and stir in minced garlic, lemon juice, paprika (if using), salt, and pepper.
  3. Preheat the air fryer to 400°F (200°C) for 2–3 minutes.
  4. Place salmon fillets skin-side down on a plate or board. Brush or spoon the garlic butter mixture generously over the tops and sides of the fillets.
  5. Arrange the salmon fillets in the air fryer basket in a single layer, not touching. Line with parchment if desired.
  6. Air fry at 400°F (200°C) for 8–10 minutes, depending on thickness, until the salmon flakes easily with a fork and is opaque in the center.
  7. Carefully remove the salmon with tongs or a spatula. Drizzle with any remaining garlic butter and a squeeze of lemon. Sprinkle with chopped parsley if desired.
  8. Let the salmon rest for 1–2 minutes before serving.

Notes

Do not overcrowd the air fryer basket for best crisping. Pat salmon dry for a better crust. Adjust cooking time based on fillet thickness. Use a thermometer for perfect doneness (125–130°F in the thickest part). Leftover garlic butter can be used on veggies. For dairy-free, substitute vegan butter or olive oil.
