Tender apple slices coated in a cinnamon-sugar crust, crisped to perfection in your air fryer. A warm, sweet, and tangy treat perfect for snacks or desserts.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 firm apples (Granny Smith, Honeycrisp, or Fuji)
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 eggs, beaten
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup panko breadcrumbs
  • Cooking spray

Instructions

  1. Wash, peel, and core the apples. Slice them into wedges about ½ inch thick.
  2. Set up your coating station with three bowls: flour in the first, beaten eggs in the second, and a mixture of panko breadcrumbs, sugar, and cinnamon in the third.
  3. Dip each apple wedge into the flour, then the egg, and finally into the breadcrumb mixture, ensuring it’s fully covered.
  4. Preheat the air fryer to 375°F (190°C) for about 3 minutes.
  5. Place the coated apple slices in a single layer in the air fryer basket, avoiding overcrowding.
  6. Spray the tops of the apple wedges lightly with cooking spray.
  7. Air fry for 10-12 minutes, flipping halfway through, until golden and crispy.
  8. Let the apple fries cool for a minute, then serve with your favorite dipping sauce.

Notes

Use firm apples for the best texture. Serve immediately for optimal crispiness. Experiment with spices like nutmeg or cardamom for a unique twist.
